The Ada County Highway District is designing improvements for streets in the Warm Springs area, as well as Cassia Street, Orchard Street to Cassia Park as part of the FY 2027 Residential Pavement and Pedestrian Improvement Project. As part of this project, streets and pedestrian facilities will be improved. ACHD is proposing improvements in both areas due to aging and deteriorating pavement.

Warm Springs Neighborhood

ACHD is proposing improvements because the pavement, curb, gutter, and sidewalks have aged and deteriorated. This decline is attributed to inadequate stormwater facilities being installed when the subdivision was constructed.

The goal is to improve the pavement and sidewalks while limiting impacts to adjacent properties, trees and keeping existing on-street parking.

Mobley Drive • Jefferson Street • Jantoni Drive

  • Remove existing, deteriorating pavement and reconstruct streets
  • Replace curb and gutter
  • Install new storm drain facilities
  • Add bulb-outs for traffic calming

Bacon Dr • Brookdale Dr • Hot Springs Dr • Louisa St • Hillview Dr • Riverview Dr

  • Remove existing, deteriorating pavement and reconstruct streets
  • Reconfigure the Hot Springs and Hillview intersection to increase pedestrian safety
  • Replace deteriorating 4-foot wide sidewalk, curb and gutter and replace with 4-foot wide sidewalk in the same location
  • Fill sidewalk gap on Hillview
  • Add bulb-outs for pedestrian safety and traffic calming
  • Update pedestrian ramps
  • Install new storm drain facilities

Hot Springs Dr and Hillview Dr Intersection

  • Narrow intersection to increase pedestrian safety and provide traffic calming
  • Add a stop sign on Hillview Drive
  • Add intersection street lighting

Cassia Street, Orchard Street to Cassia Park

  • Remove existing, deteriorating pavement and reconstruct the street
  • Add rolled curb, gutter and 7-foot attached sidewalk on the south side of Cassia to the multi-use pathway at the cul-de-sac at Cassia Park
  • The cul-de-sac will remain the same size
  • On-street parking will continue to be allowed on both sides of the street, but not in the cul-de-sac
