Section of Bogus Basin Road to Be Reduced to One Lane Beginning Wednesday

A temporary signal is scheduled to be installed on Bogus Basin Road around mile marker 10 by the end of the day Wednesday. Once the signal is in place, traffic will be reduced to one lane for approximately 700 feet through this section of the roadway.

Recent storms have led to damage to the roadway in this area, including significant washout and failing pavement.

ACHD Commissioners recently made an emergency declaration, which allows work to move forward on an expedited timeline. Geotechnical design work for the repairs is currently underway, and construction on the repairs is scheduled to begin in late August.

The temporary signal is expected to remain in place until repairs are complete. ACHD is working to complete repairs as quickly as possible before the winter season.

Anyone traveling on Bogus Basin Road is encouraged to slow down, follow all traffic control devices, and allow extra travel time.
