Construction Starts Soon

Starting as early as March, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will start construction on the Chinden Boulevard and 43rd Street Enhanced Crossing project. The purpose of this project is to improve safety and increase connectivity for pedestrians. Construction is expected to be complete by July 2026.*

Construction Impacts

• Lane shifts on Chinden. The center turn lane will be used to keep two lanes open during the day.
• 43rd Street at Chinden will be closed during construction.
• Lane restrictions with flaggers.
• Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures.
• Construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms, and ground vibration.
• Work will occur from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with occasional night work.
• The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts.
