Starting as early as mid-June, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will begin work to remove two bridges over the Ridenbaugh Canal on Cloverdale Road between Peppermint Drive and Muir Ridge Drive. Construction is expected to be complete by mid-August 2026.*

Crews will remove the bridges, fill in the channel below them and pave this small section of Cloverdale Road. The Ridenbaugh Canal was realigned as part of nearby subdivision construction, so the bridges are no longer needed.

Construction Impacts

  • Cloverdale Road will be closed during construction
  • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
  • Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved

    BOISE — Beginning Thursday, June 18, Cloverdale Road will be closed between Overland Road and Victory Road.

    Commuters should use Five Mile Road as a detour (see detour map). Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses.

    During the closure, crews will remove two bridges over the Ridenbaugh Canal on Cloverdale Road between Peppermint Drive and Muir Ridge Drive. The bridges require repairs, but are no longer needed with the realignment of the Ridenbaugh Canal. Crews will remove the bridges, fill in the channel below them, and pave the section of roadway.

    The road is expected to reopen by the end of July.
