Project Description

  • Remove existing, deteriorating concrete roadway and replace with asphalt.
  • Add speed humps.
  • Replace the existing curb, gutter and four-foot sidewalk on the east side of the street with rolled curb and a five-foot sidewalk, matching the existing back of sidewalk.
  • The intent is to have minimal impacts to private property; therefore, the new sidewalk will match the back of the existing sidewalk. However, temporary easements will still be needed during construction to facilitate sod repairs and sprinkler work.
  • Temporary easements will allow for a working area and access as required for any driveway repairs, sprinkler/sod repairs, or other minor repair work that may be required on private properties for the installation of the new sidewalk.

Project Purpose

  • Improve roadway surface
  • Update pedestrian facilities to modern standards

Project Considerations

  • Safety for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists
  • Property impacts
  • Pavement condition
  • Accessible sidewalks and pedestrian ramps
