Starting as early as June 2026, Ada County Highway District will begin road maintenance work on Deep Canyon Avenue, from Highway 16 to High Country Way, as part of the 2027 Arterial & Collector Capital Maintenance project.

Construction is anticipated to be complete by late summer 2026.*

Why is this work needed?

The pavement along Deep Canyon Avenue is in poor condition and needs maintenance. This project will rehabilitate the roadway pavement to help preserve the roadway and provide a smoother, safer driving surface.

What to expect during construction

Residents should expect temporary impacts, including:

  • Lane restrictions with flaggers
  • On-street parking restrictions
  • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms, and ground vibration

Crews will typically work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., unless otherwise approved.

The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts. Access to homes will be maintained as much as possible. Trash collection, mail delivery, and emergency access will be maintained throughout construction.
