Project Updates

A few project changes have been made since ACHD last reached out to the public. Please see below for each segment.

State Street & 16th Street

• Reconstruct intersection
• Replace pedestrian ramps
• Traffic signal work
• Add bioretention curb extensions
• No design changes- project expected to start construction as early as late July 2023
  • Follow construction updates

State Street, east of 4th Street to 2nd Street

• Reconstruct roadway
• Replace pedestrian ramps
• Add bioretention curb extensions
• Include dual-enhanced pedestrian crossings with bicycle push buttons at 3rd Street
• No design changes- project expected to start construction as early as late July 2023
  • Follow construction updates

State Street, 8th Street to 4th Street

• Reconstruct roadway
• Replace pedestrian ramps
• Traffic signal work
• Add bioretention curb extensions
• No design changes - project expected to start construction as early as fall 2023

State Street, 14th Street to 8th Street

• Segment is returning to the concept phase
• May have significant design changes- project expected to start construction as early as 2025

9th Street, State Street to Bannock Street

• Reconstruct roadway
• Replace pedestrian ramps
• Traffic signal work
• Add bioretention curb extensions
• No design changes - project expected to start construction as early as 2025
