About the Mitchell Street Study
- ACHD is currently conducting a concept study for Mitchell Street, from Victory Road to Arabian Street, focusing on safety, pedestrian and bicycle enhancements, traffic calming, and better crossings.
- The goal is to meet the growing needs of our community while preserving the neighborhood’s unique character.
- The study targets future safety and traffic calming measures for the corridor and intersections.
- While final recommendations are developed, temporary speed cushions have been constructed on the corridor to provide immediate traffic calming.
- Public input has been a crucial part of the process, with surveys and open house meetings informing the development and refinement of potential concepts.
The proposed concepts presented have been updated based on public input from the June 2024 open house and community survey.
