Fairview Avenue, Jericho Road to Eagle Road

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is designing future improvements for Fairview Avenue between Locust Grove Road and Eagle Road to improve traffic flow and increase safety for all users.

Project Description

• Widen Fairview Avenue to three lanes in each direction, with a center turn lane
• Expand the Fairview and Locust Grove intersection to include additional thru and turn lanes
• Construct crosswalks at the Fairview and Locust Grove, and Fairview and Hickory intersections that serve both bicyclists and pedestrians
• Add controlled access with a mix of raised curbs, medians, and channelized left turns for increased safety
• Allow U-turns at signalized intersections (Hickory, Locust Grove, Eagle Road) and at median breaks
• Add street lighting
• Install buffered, raised bike lanes
• Add curb, gutter and sidewalk where it currently doesn't exist; rebuild existing facilities if necessary
• Add a signalized Z-pedestrian crossing on Fairview Avenue just west of Webb Way
• Upgrade pedestrian ramps
