Floating Feather Road Reopens Following Emergency Repairs

EAGLE — Floating Feather Road between Ballantyne Lane and Eagle Road has reopened to vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists following the completion of emergency infrastructure repairs.

The road was closed July 31 after a sinkhole was discovered in the westbound lane. Veolia crews completed the repairs quickly and safely allowing the road to fully reopen in time for the start of the school year.

ACHD extends a big thank you to Veolia crews for their tireless efforts, including weekend work, to reopen the road before school is back in session.

Commuters should note that another section of Floating Feather Road, between Palmer Lane and Linder Road, will be closed next week for planned underground utility work unrelated to the emergency repairs near Eagle Road. Drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to follow posted detours and plan alternate routes.
