Starting as early as October, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will start construction on the Hill Road and Lancaster Drive Enhanced Pedestrian Crossing project. The purpose of this project is to improve safety and increase connectivity for pedestrians. Construction is expected to be complete by late November 2026.*
Project Description
- Install an enhanced pedestrian crossing (Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon) on Hill Road at Lancastser Drive
- Construct new curb, gutter, and sidewalk along Hill Road near Lancaster Drive
- Replace a drainage pipe
Construction Impacts
- Lane restrictions with flaggers
- Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures
- General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
- Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
- The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts
