The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is evaluating street improvements on specific streets in Southwest Boise and South Meridian Neighborhoods. This project will identify improvements to create a safe, comfortable, and convenient bicycle and pedestrian network on:

  • Easy Jet Drive
  • Hollandale Street
  • K-Bar-T Drive
  • Targee Street
  • Other neighborhood roads and connections

Project Goals:

The purpose of this project is to recommend improvements along local connections from Locust Grove Road to Entertainment Avenue and identify the following:

  • Safe and inviting bicycle facilities that provide a low-stress alternative to surrounding major roadways
  • Necessary wayfinding signage along neighborhood streets to help guide cyclists to major area destinations
  • Enhancements at intersection crossings to make it easier for bicycles to travel along the corridor
  • How to emphasize the presence of the Hollandale-Targee bikeway as a bicycle-friendly corridor

    The Hollandale-Targee Neighborhood Improvements Plan was adopted by the ACHD Commission on December 7, 2022.

    The Hollandale- Targee Neighborhood Improvements Plan will be presented to the ACHD Commissioners for possible adoption on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.; however, this project is one of several agenda items and may not be the first item discussed. ACHD staff will make a brief presentation followed by an opportunity for public comment before the Commission acts.

    As part of the study, ACHD is considering additional traffic measures in this area.
