ACHD Commission to Consider Adoption of Plan
The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will consider the adoption of the Linden Street Study on May 1, 2024 at 12 p.m.
The Linden Street Study includes exploring bike and pedestrian improvements, as well as potential traffic calming options along Linden Street, between Broadway Avenue and Boise Avenue.
The meeting will begin at 12 p.m.; however, this project is one of several agenda items and may not be the first item discussed. ACHD staff will make a brief presentation followed by an opportunity for public comment before the Commission acts.
The preferred alternative includes:
- 7-foot sidewalks on north side of Linden Street
- 10-foot multi-use pathway with 5-foot buffer on south side of Linden Street
- ADA compliant driveways and pedestrian ramps Enhanced pedestrian crossings Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB’s), Pedestrian Hybrid
Beacon (PHB’s), raised crossings, & accessible push buttons - New traffic signal proposed at Boise Avenue and Linden Street
