The Ada County Highway District is designing pedestrian and bicyclist facilities for Linder Road between Deer Flat Road and Main Street. The purpose of the project is to improve safety and increase connectivity for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Project Description:

  • Add curb, gutter and a multi-use pathway
  • Construct new pedestrian ramps where necessary
  • Add a signalized pedestrian crossing on Linder Road at Porter Street
  • Rebuild the roadway
  • Design - Northern Portion | Southern Portion

Project Considerations

  • Safety
  • Connectivity for bicyclists and pedestrians
  • Accessible pedestrian facilities
  • Property impacts

Multi-Use Pathway

  • Multi-use pathways are two-way facilities meant to accommodate both pedestrians and bicyclists of a wide range of ages and abilities.
  • They provide more space between motorists and those walking and biking which increases safety.
  • Multi-use pathways are used on roads with higher speeds and traffic volumes.
