Starting as early as mid-April, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will begin construction on the Locust Grove Road and Palermo Drive Pedestrian Crossing project. The purpose of this project is to improve safety and increase connectivity for pedestrians. Construction is expected to be complete by early summer 2026.*
Project Description
- Install an enhanced pedestrian crossing (Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon) at Locust Grove Road and Palermo Drive
- Improve pavement markings
- Update pedestrian ramps to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
Construction Impacts
- Lane restrictions
- Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures
- General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
- Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
