Locust Grove, Victory to Overland Project Description

  • Widen Locust Grove Rd. to two lanes in each direction, with a center turn lane
  • Add a 10-foot wide, buffered multi-use pathway for pedestrians and bicyclists to share.
  • Install a signalized pedestrian crossing at Time Zone Dr. and relocate the existing crossing at Mastiff St. slightly to the north.
  • Add center island medians at two locations between Sagemoor Drive and Fireside Drive, as well as between Puffin Street and Peacock Street.

Locust Grove and Victory Roundabout Project Description

  • Construct a dual-lane roundabout at the Locust Grove Rd. and Victory Rd. intersection. Two lanes will approach the roundabout and two lanes will go thru the roundabout.
  • Add a 10-foot wide, buffered multi-use pathway for pedestrians and bicyclists to share.
  • Include bike ramps at entrance to roundabout.
  • Add crosswalks at each leg of intersection with two-stage pedestrian crossings.
  • Include a truck apron for larger vehicles to use if necessary.
  • Intersection will be closed for gas, water, power/utility work.

Commuters are reminded to obey all road closure signs and follow the signs along the detour route. Commuters should never attempt to drive, bike, or walk on closed portions of the road, regardless of whether there appears to be active construction. It is unlawful to move or manipulate construction signs and doing so can put commuters and construction workers at great risk.
