The goal of the project is to improve safety for all users by providing pedestrian and bike connectivity for the students attending Hillcrest Elementary and the surrounding community. Improvements are based on the Nez Perce Concept Study adopted in 2023.

Improvements include

  • Filling sidewalk gaps
  • Painting a marked crossing at Malad & Pond
  • Constructing two raised crossings at Hillcrest Elementary

  • Malad St from Orchard St to Pond St
  • Pond St from Malad St to Hillcrest Dr
