Starting in September, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will begin construction at the intersection of McMillan Road and McDermott Road. The purpose of this project is to improve safety and traffic flow for people driving and walking through the intersection. Construction is expected to be complete by late November.*

  • Widen McMillan Road on both sides of the intersection to add dedicated left-turn lanes

    • No full road closures are anticipated.
    • Lane restrictions and flaggers will be in place.
    • Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures may be necessary.
    • Nearby properties may experience construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms, and ground vibration.
    • Crews will generally work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., unless otherwise approved.
    • The contractor will coordinate with property owners to minimize impacts.
