Neighborhood Investments
While ACHD makes decisions on investments based on the needs of the county as a whole, the transportation needs for each neighborhood or community are different. In order to understand these needs, ACHD began working with the community in 2012 to create neighborhood-scaled bike and pedestrian plans. The plans that have been completed to date can be found here by clicking on the Studies and Plans tab.
Did you know?
In 2023, ACHD will be completed its first cycle of Neighborhood Bike and Pedestrian Plans. This initial cycle helped establish a vision for build out of a bike and pedestrian network for all areas of Ada County. In the next cycle, ACHD will revisit each of the previously planned areas to report on progress and to make any updates to the planned network. This next cycle will also include a review and update of ACHD’s facility accessibility inventory as well as a safety review for each area.
