In 2021 the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) began evaluating alternatives to improve the Overland and Vista intersection. The goal is to develop alternatives that will enhance intersection safety for those that walk, bike and drive. As part of the study, several different alternatives were evaluated.

    The Overland and Vista Intersection Study was adopted by the ACHD Commission on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. The adopted concept will remove the free-running right lane, and includes an addition of a frontage road for several homes.
