This project is substantially complete
Starting as early as late July, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will start construction on the Parkcenter Boulevard and Monterey Drive Enhanced Pedestrian Crossing project. The purpose of the project is to improve safety and increase connectivity for pedestrians. Construction is expected to be complete early fall of 2023.*
Project Description
- Install a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB) across Parkcenter Boulevard at Monterey Drive
- Reconstruct adjacent pedestrian ramps to meet modern standards
- Relocate the existing school zone flashers on Parkcenter Boulevard
Construction Impacts
- Temporary road closures.
- Lane restrictions with flaggers.
- Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures.
- General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration.
- Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved.
- The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts.
*Due to high demand for contractors, labor and supplies, construction schedules may change.
