This project is substantially complete
The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will begin construction on the Reed Street Realignment project, north of Adams Street as early as April 2023. Completion is planned for August 2023.*
Project Description
- The existing Reed Street portion, east of the park, will end and connect to the newly built Blue Heron Street
- Construct updated pedestrian ramps, a continuous 5-foot sidewalk on the west side of Blue Heron, and a 10-foot multi-use pathway on the east side to connect with the Greenbelt
- Stormwater improvements include bioretention swales and planted trees along the multi-use pathway
- Close off the south side of Reed Street by adding a continuous 5-foot sidewalk on the east side of Adams
- Add bulb-outs to the intersection of Adams and Blue Heron
*Due to the high demand for contractors, labor, and supplies, the construction schedule may change.
