The Ada County Highway District's (ACHD) Stormwater Program is crucial for maintaining the health of our local waterways. Unlike the water we use in our homes, stormwater isn’t treated at a treatment plant before reaching the Boise River or seeping into the groundwater.

To help protect the quality of downstream waterways, ACHD administers programs to reduce pollutant discharges from the storm drain system. These programs are outlined in ACHD’s Stormwater Management Plans.
