Starting in early October, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will begin construction on the Warm Springs Avenue Enhanced Pedestrian Crossing project near the Warm Springs Golf Course. The purpose of this project is to improve safety and connectivity for people walking and biking across Warm Springs Avenue. Construction is expected to last approximately two weeks.*
Project Description
- Install an enhanced pedestrian crossing (Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon) on Warm Springs Avenue near the Warm Springs Golf Course
- Construct new curb, gutter, sidewalk, and accessible pedestrian ramps at the crossing
- Install new crossing signs, pavement markings, and lighting
Construction Impacts
- Lane restrictions with flaggers
- Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures
- General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
- Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
- The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts
