This project is substantially complete. 

2024 Cul-de-Sac Pavement Treatment Map

Starting as early as May, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will be in the South Cole and Boise Bench neighborhoods to apply a slurry seal to select culs-de-sac. Similar to a chip seal, the slurry seal helps protect and prolong the life of the pavement. This process is designed specifically for the narrow confines and unique features of the cul-de-sac.

A week prior to the work, residents will be notified via door knockers and message boards in the neighborhood.

More about slurry seal:

  • The cul-de-sac will be closed for approximately four hours.
  • Please do not park in the cul-de-sac during the slurry seal process. We encourage you to park outside of the cul-de-sac, should you need to leave during the four-hour time period.
  • After the treatment has cured for four hours, you can resume driving on the road. However, it will take approximately 30 days for the seal to completely cure.
  • The contractor will remove the cones, barricades, and tape once the cul-de-sac is drivable and ready to return to service.
