Allumbaugh St | Irving St | Franklin Rd

The Ada County Highway District is making plans to improve walking and bicycling routes on streets in neighborhoods on the Boise Bench. These projects will make it easier for neighbors to access schools, jobs, shopping and public transportation.

Street Segments

• Allumbaugh St., Fairview Ave. to Northview St.
• Irving St., Curtis Rd. to Roosevelt St.
• Franklin Rd., Milwaukee St. to Liberty St.

Project Features

• Adding and replacing sidewalks
• Adding bulb-outs to shorten crossing distances
• Adding a detached 10-foot sidewalk for safer walking and bicycling on the north side of Franklin Road
• Repaving Irving and Allumbaugh streets and narrowing travel lanes
• Upgrading traffic signals for pedestrians
• Adding an enhanced pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Northview and Allumbaugh streets
