Commissioners approved the $261 million budget on a 5-0 decision following a public hearing at the August 26 meeting. The approved spending plan includes projects to increase safety and mobility throughout the county. The budget also provides for the maintenance and operation of Ada County’s roads, sidewalks, traffic signals, bike lanes, and related infrastructure.
The budget includes a $133 million capital program for more than 100 projects.
As part of the approval, Commissioners certified the property tax levy, which will ensure revenue of approximately $58.5 million for the District.
Fiscal Year 2027 begins October 1.
By a unanimous vote, the Commission also approved a resolution to recover $2.27 million in foregone property tax revenue from prior years. Of that amount, $1.7 million will be used for the upcoming Cloverdale Road project, spanning Victory Road to Overland Road, which is scheduled to begin construction during the fiscal year. The remaining funds will be used for maintenance projects.
“Maintaining a growing transportation network is a balancing act between addressing the needs of today and investing in the future,” said Commission President Miranda Gold. “This budget allows our staff to continue meeting the needs of the more than 400,000 residents we serve.”
A recording of the public hearing is available on ACHD’s website. The full budget packet will also be posted once finalized.
