Five Year Plan (FYP) 2026-2030

The Ada County Highway District’s (ACHD) Five Year Plan (FYP) highlights the projects, programs, strategies, and priorities the District will pursue over the next five years. The first two years of the Plan are tied directly to the ACHD’s 2026-2027 Budget. This plan allows elected officials, staff, partner agencies, and the public to work in a coordinated fashion to implement projects.

The Ada County Highway District Board of Commissioners has officially adopted the 2026–2030 Five Year Plan, outlining key transportation projects that will be initiated across Ada County over the next five years. The adopted 2026–2030 Plan includes 266 projects with a total budget of $1.2 billion.
The Plan was approved during Wednesday evening’s public hearing by a vote of 4-1.

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will consider the adoption of the 2026-2030 Five Year Plan (FYP) during the October 22, 2025 public hearing.
The FYP is ACHD's short-term capital project plan that is updated annually and details when work is anticipated to occur on all road and intersection widening projects, bike and pedestrian projects, bridges, and maintenance work throughout all of Ada County.

In-Person
- Join us at 3775 Adams Street in Garden City in the Auditorium.
Virtually
- Participate online. The Meeting will be live-streamed and members of the public who wish to watch and ask questions can do so using Zoom.

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) has been working on developing the 2026-2030 Five Year Plan (FYP) over the last year. Based on input from partner agencies, the Commission, and residents, we have identified projects that may be considered for implementation to improve the transportation system in your neighborhood over the next five years.
While your comments are always welcome, the public comment period for this project closed on September 10, 2025.
