ACHD and Garden City are studying improvements to the Marigold Street corridor between Garrett Street and Glenwood Street. As a key Garden City route with connections to City Hall, the library, the Greenbelt and more, Marigold is used by those walking, biking and driving. This study looks at how to make this busy street function better for everyone.

Restriping Plan

A restriping plan was developed to kick off the improvements. Changes will be implemented with the 2027 chip seal program and include buffered bike lanes, reduced travel lane widths, green bike ladders and more.

Intersection Changes

The next stage of improvements are future changes to key intersections. Alternatives will be developed for the Garrett, Coffey, and Glenwood Street intersections and public feedback will help determine which alternatives move forward to design.
