The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is designing enhanced pedestrian crossings at four locations across Ada County. The purpose of this federally funded project is to improve safety and accessibility for people who walk, bike, and roll.

Work may include new pedestrian-activated crossing beacons, updated curb ramps, pavement markings, and street lighting.

Enhanced Pedestrian Crossing Locations

  • Beacon Street and Grant Avenue - Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB)
  • Linder Road and Ardell Road - Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB)
  • Alworth Street and 50th Street - Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB)
  • Hill Road and Edgewood Lane - Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB)
