Utility relocation work is complete for the first phase of work.
Traffic calming plan has been implemented in the neighborhoods north of State Street.
Traffic has been shifted to the south so the Contractor can construct the north side of State Street.
Left turns have been eliminated through the work zone.
Contractor excavating for curb, gutter, sidewalk, and roadway on the east side of Pierce Park.
Concrete for sidewalk, curb, and gutter is complete on State Street for this phase and on-going on Pierce Park.
Concrete paving was completed for this phase on February 12th.
Asphalt paving was completed on State Street on March 20th.
The traffic swap to the second phase of the project is tentatively scheduled for the Thursday night, April 2nd. Eastbound traffic will remain in the current configuration.
Westbound traffic will shift to the new pavement on the north side of the road.
During the second phase, the contractor will reconstruct the center of State Street. Daytime lane closures to install concrete guardrail will occur after the traffic swap to protect the work zone and the workers.
