• Utility relocation work is complete for the first phase of work.

• Left turns have been eliminated through the work zone.
• Hertford Way is scheduled to be closed the week of Spring Break, March 16th – 22nd for roadway excavation and asphalt paving.
• Contractor excavating for curb, gutter, sidewalk, and roadway on the east side of Pierce Park.
• Concrete for sidewalk, curb, and gutter is complete on the east leg for this phase and on-going at the intersection and on the west leg.
• Asphalt paving is anticipated to be complete for this phase in mid-March.
• Concrete paving was completed for this phase on February 12th.
• The traffic swap to the second phase of the project is anticipated for late March or early April.

Beginning Monday, Hertford Way will be closed between State Street and Trowbridge Street. The closure is necessary for excavation as part of ACHD's State Street and Pierce Park Lane project. Commuters should use Ellen's Ferry Drive as a detour during the closure (see detour map). The road is expected to reopen by Sunday, March 22.
