The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is designing future improvements for Stoddard between Victory and Overland. The purpose of this project is to improve traffic flow and increase safety for all users.
Proposed Improvements
- Widen Stoddard, from Victory to Overland to three lanes and install center medians where the center turn lane is not needed for access.
- Widen the existing bridge over the Ridenbaugh Canal.
- Construct curb, gutter, and bike lanes on both sides of the road.
- Relocate the existing Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB) to align with Victory Middle School and install two more enhanced pedestrian crossings in the project area.
- A new crosswalk with a Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacon (RRFB) on Stoddard Road, north of Ridenbaugh canal.
- A new Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB) and crosswalk on the west leg of Victory Road near the Stoddard Road intersection.
- Add a 10-foot-wide multi-use pathway on the west side of Stoddard between Victory and Kodiak. The pathway will continue on the south side of Kodiak.
