The Vista Avenue Bridge project, originally scheduled to begin in summer 2025, has been delayed. Construction is now expected to begin in early spring 2026.

As part of the Ada County Highway District’s (ACHD) Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program, this project will include deck maintenance on the Vista Avenue structure over the New York Canal. The work is essential to ensure the bridge continues to meet quality and safety standards, providing a smoother and more durable driving surface for all users.

What to Expect During Construction (Spring 2026):

  • Lane restrictions with flaggers

  • Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures

  • Access maintained for residents and adjacent property owners

  • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms, and ground vibration

  • Work hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved

*Construction schedules may change due to high demand for contractors, labor, and supplies.
