This project is substantially complete. 

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will begin construction on Chateau Drive, near Barbara Morgan STEM Academy, in late June. Construction is expected to be completed in late summer of 2024.*

The project involves three main components: replacing the pedestrian ramps at the school entrance, realigning the existing crosswalk, and installing a seepage bed. The purpose of this project is to improve pedestrian accessibility and drainage in the area.

Construction Impacts

  • Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures
  • Lane restrictions with flaggers
  • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
  • Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
  • The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts

    • Pipe and seepage bed complete.
    • Curb concrete complete.
    • Sidewalk concrete placement this week.
    • Paving and lane lines scheduled for late this week, or early next week.
