The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is designing future improvements for the intersection at Lake Hazel Road and Eagle Road to improve traffic flow and increase safety for all users.

  • Widen and signalize the Lake Hazel and Eagle intersection
  • Add dual left-turn lanes on most approaches
  • Include additional thru lanes
  • Add dedicated right turn lanes on two approaches
  • Install a multi-use pathway for bicyclists and pedestrians
  • Include painted crosswalks

This intersection is being reconstructed with the Eagle, Lake Hazel to Amity Project, which is now scheduled to start in fall 2024. Learn more about construction on the roadway webpage.

    Eagle and Lake Hazel Intersection - Lake Hazel and Eagle Intersection opened July 1st in the east/west direction. Conduits and pole foundations placed 8/12. Concrete buffer ongoing. Wall starting on northwest corner as early as August 11th.

    Lake Hazel to Amity closed for duration of 2nd phase. Milling complete. Utilities relocating services. Removal ongoing. Excavation ongoing. Storm drain ongoing. Sidewalk ongoing between Taconic and Lake Hazel. Concrete fence foundations anticipated starting 8/18.

    • Paving ongoing until June 30th.
    • Phase 2 anticipated starting July 1st - Lake Hazel to Amity closed for duration of 2nd phase o Milling Starting July 1st – 3rd.
    • Utilities will be relocating services.

    • Wall blocks ongoing.
    • City of Meridian water ongoing.
    • Irrigation will start after City of Meridian water is complete.
