ACHD is designing temporary traffic calming features for Rose Hill Street from Roosevelt Street to Vista Avenue to enhance the safety for all users.
The concept design was created through a community outreach process and parking analysis and was adopted by the ACHD Commission in Fall 2022.
The project will provide a variety of traffic calming measures and enhanced bicycle infrastructure along Rose Hill Street.
Project Description
- Add on-street bike lanes, separated by a painted buffer with a vertical element.
- Remove the continuous center left-turn lane in most areas.
- Retain parking on one side of the street, except between Latah and Owyhee streets, alternating sides of the street to provide shifts in the travel lanes.
* Design of the Rose Hill and Owyhee mini-roundabout was completed as a separate project.
