In November 2024, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will start construction on the Ustick Road, Black Cat Road to Ten Mile Road widening project. Work is expected to be complete in spring of 2026.*

    Traffic and Construction Impacts

    • Ustick Road will remain open throughout construction but may be restricted to one lane in each direction with flaggers.
    • Black Cat Road may be closed periodically as the intersection is reconstructed.
    • ACHD will monitor traffic flow and detour usage and adjust routes as needed.
    • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration.
    • Crews may work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved.
    • The contractor will work with property owners to minimize construction impacts and maintain access.

*Due to contractor staffing issues and supply-chain shortages, the construction schedule could change.
