The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is designing future improvements for Ustick Road between Black Cat Road and Ten Mile Road. The purpose of this project is to improve traffic flow and increase safety for all users.

Ustick, Black Cat to Ten Mile:

  • Widen Ustick Road to two lanes in each direction, with center turn lanes at key locations.
  • Construct curb, gutter, and a detached 10-foot-wide multi-use pathway on both sides of the roadway for pedestrians and bicyclists.
  • Install center medians to increase safety.
  • Add a traffic signal at Naomi Avenue.
  • Install an enhanced pedestrian crossing across Ustick Road at the Nine Mile Pathway.

Ustick and Black Cat Intersection:

  • Widen the Ustick Road and Black Cat Road intersection to include additional through lanes.
  • Add dedicated right and left turn lanes on all approaches.
  • Install curb, gutter, and multi-use pathways.
