This project is substantially complete.

In early January, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will start construction on Avenue C from Main Street to 4th Street in Kuna. Construction is anticipated to be completed in May of 2023.

Project Description

  • Construct new angled or parallel parking and sidewalks on both sides of Avenue C
  • Upgrade pedestrian ramps to meet modern standards
  • As part of this project, ACHD will also reconstruct Avenue C from Main Street to 4th Street

Construction Impacts

  • Temporary road closures (business access will be maintained)
  • Lane restrictions with flaggers
  • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
  • Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
  • The contractor will work with property owners to minimize construction impacts


Commuters are reminded to obey all road closure signs and follow the signs along the detour route. Commuters should never attempt to drive, bike, or walk on closed portions of the road, regardless of whether there appears to be active construction. It is unlawful to move or manipulate construction signs and doing so can put commuters and construction workers at great risk.
