As part of the Ada County Highway District’s (ACHD) Bridge Maintenance Program, ACHD will replace the culvert on Floating Feather Road, east of Munger Road, starting as early as mid-October 2024.* Construction is expected to be complete in the spring of 2025.

Project Overview

  • Remove and replace the existing bridge over the Middleton Canal.
  • Add multi-use pathways and sidewalk on both sides of Floating Feather Road to fill existing pedestrian gaps and improve connectivity.
  • Upgrade stormwater facilities to improve drainage.
  • Reconstruct the roadway.

Construction Impacts

  • Floating Feather Road will be closed during construction
  • Lane restrictions with flaggers
  • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
  • Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
  • The contractor will work with homeowners to minimize construction impacts
