The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will be rehabilitating several streets in your area as part of a federally funded project to improve pavement conditions and upgrade the streets for all users.

As part of the street reconstruction, ACHD will upgrade select pedestrian ramps and driveways to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. The work also includes improvements for people walking and biking, such as improved crossings and bike lane enhancements. These changes are intended to improve safety and accessibility for everyone using the street.

Project Descriptions

Eisenman Road

Eisenman Road, Gowen Road to 2000 feet south of Gowen Road

  • Removing and replacing pavement

  • Upgrading pedestrian ramps and driveways for current ADA compliance

  • The existing Gowen Road intersection signal will not be impacted

Eisenman Road, Freight Street to East Bound I-84 Offramp

  • Removing and replacing pavement

Americana Boulevard

Americana Boulevard, Ann Morrison Park Boulevard to Shoreline Drive

  • Removing and replacing pavement

  • Upgrading pedestrian ramps and driveways for current ADA compliance

  • Traffic signals at Ann Morrison Park Boulevard and Shoreline Drive will be updated for current Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) compliance

  • Maintaining the existing roadway configuration of two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane and bike lanes

  • Constructing protected intersection treatment at Shoreline Drive intersection to enhance pedestrian and bicyclist accessibility and safety at the crossings

  • Constructing drainage improvements within the existing right-of-way to treat stormwater

Shoreline Drive, Americana Boulevard to Fairview Avenue

  • Removing and replacing pavement

  • Upgrading pedestrian ramps and driveways for current ADA compliance

  • Improving existing bike lanes with raised buffer medians

  • Installing a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) at the entrance to the firefighter memorial entrance

  • The existing traffic signal at Fairview Avenue will not be impacted

    • Lane restrictions with flaggers
    • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
    • Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
    • The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts

    *Construction schedules may change.
