The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will be constructing improvements to two downtown streets in the future: State St. between 16th St. and 2nd St. and 9th St. between State St. and Bannock St.
The purpose of the projects is to replace the aging roadway, increase safety and comfort for those that use State Street and 9th Street, and add green stormwater treatment facilities.
Project Description
State Street, 8th Street to 4th Street
- Reconstruct roadway
- Replace pedestrian ramps
- Traffic signal work
- Add bioretention curb extensions
- Project expected to start construction as early as fall 2023
State Street, 14th Street to 8th Street
- Segment is returning to the concept phase
- May have significant design changes- project expected to start construction as early as 2025

- Reconstruct roadway

- The 9th and Bannock intersection will be completed with another project
- No design changes - project expected to start construction as early as 2025
