The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will be reconstructing portions of several streets and intersections in Kuna as part of a locally funded project to improve pavement conditions and upgrade the roadway for all users. Work may include reconstructing streets or removing and replacing pavement to enhance roadway conditions, adding bulb-outs where appropriate, filling sidewalk gaps to improve connectivity, and upgrading or installing pedestrian ramps to meet current standards and comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).


Pavement reconstruction will occur at the following locations:

  • Trini Drive, Miner Avenue to School Street

  • Miner Avenue, Trini Drive to Gold Street

  • Hayward Avenue, Armand Street to Curtner Street

  • San Mateo Avenue, Armand Street to Curtner Street (new ADA ramps)

  • Gold Street, Strike Way to School Avenue (bulb-outs, ADA ramps, and driveway Improvements at Gold Street/Pyrite Avenue and Gold Street/Quartzite Avenue intersections)

  • Boise Street, Shady Grove Way to Orchard Avenue (new ADA ramps at Boise Street/Shady Grove Way intersection)

  • Katie Way, Boise Street to Orchard Avenue (new ADA ramps at Katie Way/Boise Street intersection)

  • Ashwood Court, Ash Avenue to east end (new ADA ramps)

  • Orchard Avenue, 4th Street to Boise Street (bulb-outs and ADA ramps at Katie Way/Epson Street intersection)

  • Strike Way, Boise Street to Gold Street (bulb-outs and ADA ramps at Strike Way/Gold Street intersection)

  • Opal Court, Strike Way to cul-de-sac (new ADA ramps at Opal Court/Strike Way intersection)

  • Mendi Place, School Avenue to Goiri Street (ADA ramp upgrades along segment)

When ACHD went out to the public in winter 2023, Orchard Avenue and 4th Street were included in the project. This segment has since been removed.
