This project is substantially complete
Construction January- Early Summer 2023*
The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will start construction on Reutzel Drive, north of Amity Road, as early as the beginning of January 2023. Construction is anticipated to be completed early summer of 2023.*
Project Description
As part of the Bridge Maintenance Program, ACHD will remove and replace the existing Reutzel Drive culvert over Eight Mile Creek
Install bulb-outs at the intersection of Reutzel Drive and Summerset Way
Fill the sidewalk gaps on the north side of Reutzel Drive
Upgrade pedestrian ramps to current standards
Install a drainage basin west of Summerset Way
Reconstruct the roadway
*Due to high demand for contractors, labor and supplies, construction schedules may change.
Construction Impacts
Temporary road closures
Lane restrictions with flaggers
Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures
General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
The contractor will work with homeowners to minimize construction impacts
Commuters are reminded to obey all road closure signs and follow the signs along the detour route. Commuters should never attempt to drive, bike, or walk on closed portions of the road, regardless of whether there appears to be active construction. It is unlawful to move or manipulate construction signs and doing so can put commuters and construction workers at great risk.
