Starting as early as mid-April, the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will begin reconstructing Cole Road from Victory Road to Overland Road. The pavement has reached the end of its service life and no longer meets current standards. Construction is expected to be complete in late fall 2026.*

Project Highlights

  • Reconstructing the road surface on Cole Road from south of Overland Road to south of Mossy Cup Street, resulting in a new roadway surface throughout the corridor
  • Upgrading existing pedestrian signals to Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) at the intersections of Cole Road and Entertainment Avenue, and Cole Road and Century Way
  • Updating pedestrian ramps as needed to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility standards

Construction Impacts

  • Night work is expected to help reduce daytime traffic impacts
  • Lane restrictions with flaggers
  • Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures
  • General construction impacts including noise, dust, equipment backup alarms, and ground vibration
  • The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts
