This project is substantially complete.

ACHD is designing temporary traffic calming features for Rose Hill Street from Roosevelt Street to Vista Avenue to enhance the safety for all users.

The concept design was created through a community outreach process and parking analysis and was adopted by the ACHD Commission in Fall 2022.

The project will provide a variety of traffic calming measures and enhanced bicycle infrastructure along Rose Hill Street.

Project Description

  • Add on-street bike lanes, separated by a painted buffer with a vertical element.
  • Remove the continuous center left-turn lane in most areas.
  • Retain parking on one side of the street, except between Latah and Owyhee streets, alternating sides of the street to provide shifts in the travel lanes.

* Design of the Rose Hill and Owyhee mini-roundabout was completed as a separate project.
