As part of the Ada County Highway District’s (ACHD) Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program, ACHD will perform routine maintenance on the Boise Avenue Bridge (formerly Healey Road) over the New York Canal, starting as early as February 2026.
This planned work includes preventative deck maintenance to extend the life of the structure and ensure it remains safe and reliable. The improvements will help maintain a smooth, durable driving surface for all users.

New Construction Timeline
The Boise Avenue Bridge project, originally scheduled to begin in summer 2025, has been delayed. Construction is now expected to begin in early spring 2026.

This project was originally advertised as Healey Road Bridge. However, the correct name of the roadway is Boise Avenue, following a past decision by the county street naming committee to retire the Healey Road designation.
