The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will be constructing improvements to Linder Road from State Highway 44 to Floating Feather Road starting as early as mid-November. Work is expected to be complete late 2026.*

Project Description

Roadway

  • Widening Linder Road to two lanes in each direction, with a center turn lane.
  • Adding landscaped medians where appropriate.
  • Constructing curb, gutter and a multi-use pathway on both sides of the roadway for pedestrians and bicyclists.
  • Retaining the existing signalized pedestrian crossing at Saguaro Dr.
  • Installing roadway lighting along Linder Road
  • Constructing bioretention swales to manage roadway drainage.
  • Reconstructing two separate bridges on Linder.

Linder and Floating Feather Intersection

  • Constructing a roundabout at the Linder and Floating Feather intersection.
    • The west and south legs will feature two lanes approaching the roundabout, the left lane for thru traffic and left turns, the right lane for right turns only.
  • Adding curb, gutter and a detached multi-use pathway with bike ramps.
  • Adding crosswalks at each leg of the intersection with two-stage pedestrian crossings and Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs).
  • A truck apron for larger vehicles to use if necessary.
  • Constructing a stormwater basin to manage water drainage from the intersection.

    • Construction to start mid to late October 2025 due to the irrigation crossings.
    • Irrigation crossings will need to be constructed while irrigation water is off.
    • Additional information will be provided once a traffic control plan is developed.
