As part of the Ada County Highway District’s (ACHD) Bridge Maintenance Program, ACHD will replace the culverts on Munger Road, south of New Hope Road, starting as early as mid-November 2025.* Construction is expected to be complete in summer 2026.

Project Highlights

  • Removing and replacing the existing bridges on Munger Road
  • Reconstructing the roadway
  • Filling in the sidewalk gap on the east side of Munger Road, between W. Shortcreek Street and N. Catamaran Way, including new curb, gutter, and pedestrian ramps
  • Improving stormwater facilities to enhance drainage

Construction Impacts

  • Munger Road will be closed during construction
  • Pedestrian detours and sidewalk closures
  • Lane restrictions with flaggers
  • Neighborhood traffic calming will be in place to discourage cut-through traffic on residential streets
  • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
  • Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
  • The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts
